Therapists are required to protect your privacy and keep your personal information secure. This means that what you discuss in therapy remains between you and your therapist, with few exceptions. Confidentiality may be breached only if there are concerns about imminent harm to yourself or others, if you are experiencing a medical emergency or if there is a legal obligation to disclose information. Your therapist will review confidentiality as a part of your consent forms.
We prioritize your privacy and are committed to providing a safe and secure space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. If you have any questions about confidentiality, don’t hesitate to ask.

The duration of therapy can vary widely depending on your individual needs, goals, and the nature of the issues you’re addressing. Some people may find that a few sessions are enough to achieve their objectives, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy for more complex or ongoing concerns. Typically, therapy might range from a few weeks to several months or even longer. During your sessions, you and your therapist will regularly review your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed to ensure you’re on track to meet your goals.

In Ontario, therapy services are not typically covered by OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) for most private therapy practices. However, there are some exceptions, such as therapy provided by a family health team or a physician. For private therapy sessions, many people use private health insurance plans or employee benefits to cover costs. We recommend checking with your insurance company to understand your coverage eligibility before beginning therapy. If you have any questions about session fees, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help!
-
Your appointment time is reserved just for you; so we ask that clients give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. The full session fee will apply for missed sessions without a minimum of 48 hours' notice.
-
We do not bill insurance companies directly.
After session fees are paid via Interac e-transfer, we provide clients with a receipt that has all the required information to submit to your insurance company.
We always recommend potential clients connect with their insurance companies to confirm their coverage before beginning therapy.
-
Currently we only accept payment via Interac e-transfer. We hope to expand to credit card payments soon.
